Simple Tart Dough

An easy to make, easy to use delicious dough that holds up to all fruits and any filling you can imagine.


 

For the Dough:


1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 stick unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces

4 oz cream cheese, cold and cut into small pieces

1 1/2 tablespoons cold milk


 

Technique:


Using a food processor or a pastry cutter in a large bowl combine flour, salt and sugar. Add butter and cream cheese and pulse 20 seconds until a sand-like consistency forms. Drizzle in milk a little at a time and pulse until dough comes together about 20 more seconds.


Turn out dough into plastic wrap and use immediately or chill in refrigerator for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 6 months.
